Why PLAN?

A Public Good is defined as a good or consumable that is infinitely reproducible and non-excludable; or more simply, usage of the good does not extract from the available supply. We believe software made correctly can be that quintessential public good.

How is The Vision for plan different than other platforms?

End-to-end Data Privacy and Ownership: Open source and distributed systems can lower barriers to entry for non-technical and underprivileged communities to network, secure private data, and collaborate at a cost trending towards near zero.

Community-Centric Systems: A community-Centric systems approach can protect against data loss, theft, spam and exploitation through harnessing the latest advances in encryption, peer-to-peer and distributed technologies, and purpose built user interfaces.

Realtime Collaboration and Spatial Organization: Creating a solutions ecosystem that facilitates immersive experiences, communications, and productivity, with the open source foundations community oriented values needed for new economies to emerge.

Universal Inclusion: PLAN Systems recognizes the need for universal inclusiveness, non-technical, and readiness minded communities to become digitally self-reliant, self-hosted, and offline capable -- with an emphasis on interoperability and adaptability.
